Demian Hirts Going Into the Crypto Art Market

Demian Hirst has always enjoyed to be part of the top tendencies of the art market. He recently created a series paintings to be sold exclusively through the Crypto Art Market, a new way to auctioning art works in the digital world that promises to provoke and art market revolution.

Hirst became the first blue-chip artist (most prominent artists in the market) to get into the Crypto Art Market. On late February, he launche a eight cherry blossom prints calle The Virtues: “The eight prints are each title after one of the Eight Virtues of  Bushidō: Justice, Courage, Mercy, Politeness, Honesty, Honour, Loyalty, Control”, he shared on an Instagram post.

The series was made to be sold exclusively in the website Heni Leviathan, an online marketplace in the UK, and to be payed with cryptocurrencies: “For the first time, I’m accepting Cryptocurrency for payment! It’s hard for any of us to trust anything in this life but somehow we manage it and we even find love and I love art and I love the crypto world and I am happy and proud to put my belief into Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) and accept them for this drop.”


The auction started in $3,000 for each print and  it final sale price depended on the ultimate amount of demand.
