SYDNEY CONTEMPORARY TAKES OVER BARANGAROO

Sydney Contemporary takes over the city’s newest precinct, Barangaroo, with a series of large-scale public installations and a cutting-edge performance program. Joan Ross, the 2017 Sulman Prize Winner is taking over the waterfront with a month long residency where she will invite surrounding residents and workers to interact, contribute and sit within the work. Artists in this program also include: Amrita Hepi, Lara Merrett, Jason Phu and Justene Williams.

NIGHT CAP WITH RAMESH MARIO NITHIYENDRAN: ‘HIS BIG IMPORTANT BIRTHDAY’

Join celebrated artist Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran for night of festivities at The Old Clare Hotel. Night Cap is the final stop on your busy art journey throughout Sydney Contemporary’s art week. Ramesh’s Night Cap presents ‘His Big Important Birthday’ with cake, music and drinks selected for celebration as well as a large scale portrait of Ramesh by Jason Phu.
