The Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas at Austin is one of the largest university art museums in the U.S. with 189,340 square feet devoted to temporary exhibitions, permanent collection galleries, storage, administrative offices, classrooms, a print study room, an auditorium, shop, and cafe.
Renowned Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone’s colorful large-scale, public artwork Seven Magic Mountains is a two-year exhibition located in the desert outside of Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring seven thirty to thirty-five-foot high dayglow totems comprised of painted, locally-sourced boulders.
This week, visitors will once again have the opportunity to encounter large installations, immersive video works, and genre-defying hybrids in Art Basel’s Unlimited sector. Curated for the eighth time by Gianni Jetzer, Unlimited 2019 will feature 75 works – here are three highlights to look forward to at the exhibition.
