Art Week Dubai 2018 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Initiated by Art Dubai Group and supported by Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), Art Week is the region’s largest cultural festival taking place each March, happening for the 7th time in 2018.

Kicking off with the 8th edition of Sikka Art Fair in Al Fahidi Neighbourhood, Dubai and the 11th March Meeting in Sharjah’s Arts Area on 17 March, Art Week runs until Art Dubai closes its doors on 24 March.

Within those 7 days you have the chance to get involved in over 500 different activities at over 140 venues, from film screenings and live performances to guided tours and panel discussions, practical workshops and curated, immersive experiences.

Art Dubai returns to Madinat Jumeirah for its 12th edition, with a staggering line-up of 105 galleries from 48 countries and a packed programme of talks, tours and artist-led events.

This guide takes you geographically from one main hub to another. Within Dubai you can find galleries in the historical area Al Fahidi, industrial Al Quoz, the business centre that is DIFC and hip d3, not forgetting one-off spaces in Downtown, Jumeirah, parks, cafés, the airport – so keep your eyes peeled!

A trip to Abu Dhabi to visit the newly opened Louvre Abu Dhabi is essential as is the drive to Sharjah where Sharjah Art Foundation open no less than 6 solo exhibitions in their spaces and the Sharjah Art Museum.

Most events are family friendly and open to everyone. Access to all venues listed in the guide is free of charge, unless stated otherwise – those with a valid student pass can gain free access to Art Dubai.
